Fleet Foxes, Washington’s sensational indie folk artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Hearst Greek Theatre!
Fleet Foxes was formed in Seattle in 2006 by Robin Pecknold, Skyler Skjelset, Casey Wescott, Craig Curran, and Nicholas Peterson. Their musical style is best described as a blend of indie folk (a style that arose in the 1990s - among musicians from indie rock scenes influenced by folk music - and is characterized by a blend of acoustic guitar melodies of traditional folk music with contemporary instrumentation) and Americana (contemporary music that incorporates elements of various American roots music styles, including country, roots rock, folk, bluegrass, R&B and blues, resulting in a distinctive roots oriented sound). The band’s been through a few line up changes over the years and it currently consists of Robin (lead vocals and guitar), Skyler (guitar, mandolin, and vocals), Casey (keyboards, mandolin, and vocals), Christian Wargo (bass guitar, guitar, and vocals), and Morgan Henderson (upright bass, guitar, woodwinds, violin, percussion, and saxophone). They’ve had a stellar career with 2 studio albums, 6 music videos, 3 extended plays, and 8 singles. Their eponymous debut studio album is certified Platinum in the US and Gold in the UK. Their latest album (Crack-Up) comes out in June 2017.
